Axolotl

Reproduction.

The females picks the spermatophores with its colaca and those fertilize their eggs.

When they are ready, the male deposits spermatoaphores rock and resamble soft cone-shaped containing sperms.

Between 12-19 months of age, the axolotls reach their maturity and therefore is ready to play.

Habitat.

Axolotls like to live in the dephs of the cool waters and temperatures above 20°C.

Their distribution has been significatly decreased.

Its distribution is limitedd to central Mexico. Their habitat is near to Mexico city and specially in lakes, like Xochimiloco.

The mexican Axolotl, as its name says, it belongs to the native parts of Mexico.

Interesting facts.

They live aproximatly 25 years.

They only live in lakes and rivers.

It is also know as the "aquatic monster."

They regenerate.

There are different kinds of axolotls.

Anatomy.

The axolotl can retain larval morphology, they develop rudementary, so axolotls can be raised to the surface.

Axolotls can regenerate some parts of their body.

Som invesigators said that regerenation are nvolved by the axolotl regeneration.

Food.

If they are in cativity, the axolotl is feed with other fish.

They basically eat anything they can catch, only if it is smalleer than them.

They are carnivores.
