Microsoft has offered a service where they partner with education boards to help students. They do this by letting the boards use Microsoft programs without pay from students. Programs like Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc offer students a new way to learn and present.

Microsoft is very large corporation. They have offices all around the world.Including but not limited to all of North America,most countries in South America, most countries in Europe, some in Asia and All of Australia. As well as having offices all over the world, they also have over 148,000 employees.

Microsoft also has physical locations where you can go and purchase goods from them. As well as their own physical stores, Microsoft allows authorized retailers to sell their products in stores. Retailers such as Best Buy and Walmart fall under this
Microsoft like most companies nowadays distribute products through an online market. They use their own website to sell their products and they also allow other authorized retailers, such as Amazon and NewEgg to sell them as well.

Microsoft is a technology corporation. They are a public corporation and have shares to sell on the stock market which are priced at $178.59 USD.

Microsoft is a profit organization. In their 2019 annual report, they reported making a record-breaking 125 billion dollars in revenue, 43 billion dollars in operating income and over 50 billion dollars in operating cash overflow. They were able to return 30 billion dollars to shareholders.

Need or Want?

In 2020, Microsoft's services would be considered a want because most of their goods and services and not essential for now because tech not required for survival. As of right now there are many companies that offer the same or better goods/services. For example, Apple makes both operating systems and computers. Goods and Services provided by Microsoft are considered luxury because you do not need it to survive.
