Environmental Impact

This results in the increase of greenhouse gas emissions due to the outsourcing of workers which utilize older energy sources such as oil and coal, as they are unable to develop cleaner methods.This impacts the world Canadian workers live in.

Economical Impact

Positive Impact on the Economy

Increases consumerism and profits for emerging markets.

Negative Impact on the Economy

This resulted in Canadian workers to drop out of the apparel industry, as in 10 years, the amount of Canadian workers in this industry went from 94k to 19k. This adversely impacted the economy.

Trade agreements result in structural unemployment, as many factories relocate and leave their employees without work. This would equate to higher natural unemployment rates for countries.
