how can we become friends with someone with mutisim

try to avoid putting this type of classmates in anxious situations

dont preasure them

try to make them feel comfortable in class

respect our classmate with mutisim even when they dont want to talk to us

we need to be pacient

characteristics

able to speak at home or with friends they feel comfortable

unable to speak in social context they arent comfortable at

they tend to feel very big feelings like anxiety or social preasure

extreme shyness caused by anxiety

does selective Mutism exist or are they just rude?

selective mutism is a very real disorder that is common to appear in kids of 5 years old or less
