To everyone around the world who depend on our services, we are deeply sorry for the inconvenience caused by today’s service outage of Mindomo. Our services are now fully accessible and there should be no more issues.

On the 24th of May 2022, Mindomo was inaccessible between 9:05 and 18:45 GMT because an expired SSL certificate was not replaced in time on our CDN (Content Delivery Network).
SSL certificates are restricted to approximately 1 year and need to be reissued and replaced on all servers. Our SSL certificate for *.mindomo.com expired today. 3 weeks ago we extended the certificate and replaced it in all locations except on the CDN servers.

Our monitoring systems Pingdom (external) and Prometheus (internal) all reported that our services are functional because they were monitoring the functionality of our servers and our technicians were not notified by the malfunction.

Since today is Sunday and it is a public holiday our support personnel observed the malfunction too late.

The malfunction was happening inside the user’s browser. The browser refused to load the static resources (CSS and javascript files) from the CDN because of the expired SSL certificate.

We’re very sorry for any inconveniences this situation might have caused you!

The Mindomo Team
