A place for those kids who don't necessarily fit in elsewhere

Allows students to explore wide range of interest including construction, engineering,computer programming and science outside of the regular curriculum

The library has always been used as a resource hub, now with the Makerspace, they are transforming from knowledge downloading into creative discovery

Inquiry learning

Can become a safe space to make errors

Allows students a place to questions and research

Not every teacher is comfortable going full inquiry

Common area for supplies that are needed for multiple classrooms

Librarian can help locate and offer suggestions to enhance lessons

Easier to find supplies here than in individual teachers classrooms

Learning fractions? Need manipulatives? Look in the makerspace!

Available space to expand learning

Easy access to STEAM supplies in this space

Chairs & tables are available for more than one class

Common areas outside of the classroom are hard to find
