Operating System that is running over a network

Examples: Windows Server Mac OSX

Single user, Multi-task

Operating System that allows more than one task to be running at the same time.

Examples: Windows 7 Mac Osx

Single user, Single task

Operating System that can only do one task at a time.

Examples: Non-smart phones
