The longer the wait, the less motivated

Impulse: Sensitivity of delay

as a result one often grows less paitent

they focus on quick and immediate rewards rather than waiting for the long term rewards

Motivation= Expectation x value

Value

The more rewarding the outcome the more motivating it is to pursue it.

Expectancy

High expectancy means high motivation because of our need for pleasure.

Try to have a learning environment that is controllable
