Followers

Katniss has many many followers
On Page 4 in Chapter 1, Katniss thinks “...to stand before the cheering crowds who secretly loath me” making it obvious she has people that admire her.

On page 252 -254 Chapter 18, right after Peeta announced Katniss is pregnant in the interview with Ceaser, every person in the audience was completely shocked by the news. They then all joined hands. This is how Katniss definitely has followers.

On the website below says a leader must have FOLLOWERS and methods to attract followers

Characteristics

In all the websites given, this section explain the feelings and emotions of Katniss towards several events happening in the book:
Cooperative

She doesn't always work well with others as she is an independent person. But although she works well with others well if she is under extreme pressure. Just like in Chapter 22 where Katniss and Finnick work together. Katniss barely wants to work with Finnick but it is the meaning of survival.

Caring

She is considered a very caring person towards most people in the book including Prim as long as they are on her side. Prim is her sister that she loves. In the previous book, the Hunger Games, she volunteered to be in the games to protect Prim as she was drawn from the box containing all the people in District 12.

Passion

Katniss is extremely passionate towards hunting and using her bow. She used it quite often. She also is passionate towards

Confidence

On Page 14 -15 in Chapter 1, Katniss tries to wake up Haymitch withby dumping cold water on his face. That would’ve taken guts to do that as Haymitch is considered hostile at times.

Selflessness

Katniss contributes a lot at times. For example, in Chapter 10 where she gives the loaf of bread with cheese on top to Twill and Bonnie when they found Katniss.

Determination

She is determined on many things in the book as she has many goals in mind. In Chapter 7-8, she finds the idea to ‘run away’ and leave the past with Gale’s and Peeta’s family.

Why she is a bad leader

http://wiki.c2.com/?WhatIsLeadership
This website talks about how a good leader should have many followers or people envy such leader. Also you must be persuasive so you can influence a large number of people

Katniss has ALL the requirements of a leader except:

A plan to escape the Capitol without proper planning

No matter what she does people will react to it to the extremes

She cannot control the rebellion well

She doesn't know what a good leader should do

So a bad leader should then have...

Will crack under pressure

No Influence

Can't control anyone

No Goal or Plan

Meaning cannot contribute much

Can't communicate well

Will turn situations out of order

The website talks about how a good leader should have a vision or a goal to lead people to success. Also the leader should inspire those people in the process

Inspiration

In the website below, it is said a leader must inspire people and guide people in a certain direction.
Also before the Quarter Quell, Katniss had a interview with Ceasar. Peeta thrown an odd ball where Katniss is pregnant to get more and more sponsors. There was many people in the audience that were completely shocked and people started to rebel against President Snow to cancel the Quarter Quell.
In Chapter 10, Twill and Bonnie were introduced to Katniss with a Mockingjay symbol on a ‘cracker’. They were escapees in District 8 when President Snow bombed their workplace. They were in awe of Katniss because of her bravery in the previous book, the Hunger Games, where she pulled out berries that would kill the last remaining victors of the games. Katniss says the Mockingjay is the face of rebellion and will kill thousands of people in Panem.
