Credits
  • For a 1 credit lesson - practice at least half an hour a day, five days a week. This is a bare minimum and will result in a very basic level of progress. A better effort would be an hour a day.

  • For a 2 credit lesson - practice for an hour a day, six days a week. For performance majors, you should increase this to two hours a day.

  • For 3 and 4 credit lessons - extra practice as needed to prepare for special projects or recitals. A senior majoring in horn performance should be practicing three hours a day.
