How it works

Three steps, from start to grade

Getting the class in

Three ways to share with students

Sharing takes seconds: project the QR code, send the join link, or read the access code out loud. Whichever you pick, students are in the class in one step, and they only ever do it once.

Project it fullscreen, download it into a slide, or print it for the wall. The fastest way to get thirty students in at once.

JOIN LINK
mindomo.com/join/swJUc

The code now travels inside the link. Paste it into an email or a chat and the student is on the right class the moment they click, nothing to type, nothing to mistype.

ACCESS CODE
swJUc

Students open mindomo.com/join and type the code. Good for a room with one screen and no phones. New issues a fresh code whenever you need to lock the old one out.

No account needed

A name and four digits, and they're in

No email address. No password for you to invent and distribute. A student types their name, picks a PIN they can remember, and that pair gets them back to their work on any device in the building. Forgotten it? You reset it.

1 Open the link, the class is already picked
2 Type your name
3 Pick a 4-digit PIN
|

Students with a Mindomo account or a school email sign in as usual, the code works either way.

Create classes

Four ways to fill a roster, all on one screen. Pick whichever suits your students.

Invite by email

Paste addresses, or upload a CSV.

Create accounts (no email)

Paste names or a CSV, Mindomo makes a PIN account for each.

Add from Google Classroom

Import a class you already teach there.

Add students from school

Tick names from your school's list. School licence only.

Decide if students use AI

Full control over the AI

You decide, for each class, whether students can use the AI tools. Turn them on when you want students to explore, turn them off for a test, it applies to every assignment in that class straight away. Your own AI tools keep working either way.

24 students · End-of-unit test
Students can use AI Off
Science, Period 4

Students can use AI On

Same subject, same week, different rules. The setting belongs to the class.

Questions teachers ask

FAQ: Questions teachers ask

Practical answers about assignments and classes in Mindomo.

Do my students need email addresses?
No. A name and a four-digit PIN they choose themselves is a full account for classwork. Students who do have a Mindomo account or a school email can sign in with it instead.
Do I have to re-share every new assignment?
No. Students belong to the class, not to a single assignment. Anything you give that class from then on appears for them on its own.
Can I reuse a class next term?
Yes, one roster, one join code, as many assignments as you like. You can also issue a fresh code at any point, which retires the old code and link immediately.
Can students use AI on their assignments?
That is your call, per class. The class's AI tools setting applies to every assignment in it, so you can switch it off for an exam and back on afterwards.
Do students have to pay?
No. Students work with full premium features on the assignments you share with them, on a free account.
We share a trolley of laptops. Does that work?
Yes. Switch the class to shared classroom devices and a login is not kept on the machine once it is shut off, the next student starts fresh.
Can another teacher help mark?
Yes. Add a co-teacher to the class and they see the work and grade it alongside you.
What if my whole school needs it?
The School plan covers several teachers and their students under one licence, starting at 2 teachers and 80 students, with shared folders and one administrator managing it all. Adding students from your school's list is a School-plan feature too.
Which plan includes this?
Assignments and Classes are part of the Teacher and School plans. Your dashboard shows both sections on a free account, and creating your first class leads to the upgrade page.
